Jay Leno Took a Surfin' Safari in a 1937 Ford Woodie

Mission-Surf slide for Jay Leno taking a Surfin Safari in a 1937 Ford woodie restomod presented by Kahuna the Turtle
Dispatch from Kahuna the Turtle.

Jay Leno's Garage looked at two restomod woodies built by Scott Bonowski. Bonowski kept the wagons near stock on the outside, with the upgrades hidden underneath the timber. The 1937 Ford runs a Ford 5.0-liter V8, independent front and rear suspension, and disc brakes, with 30 to 50 coats of varnish on the woodwork. Woodies were a major part of 1960s surfing culture, offering room for boards and crew, and they earned a mention in the Beach Boys' Surfin' Safari. Wood on the sides and a board on the roof still reads as Golden Age. What would you load in a woodie for dawn patrol?
